Charlie's Owl

Right before I pulled out my phone, this little girl was going crazy! Kissing on her owl, skooching around, squealing...

Video Games!

We went to a birthday party this afternoon for two of our neighborhood friends. It was at an arcade. I lost Joe & Joey for a little bit, only to find them in the Jurassic Park shooter game. Their two worlds collide in one game.

Charlotte: 10 Months

Charlotte's hit double digits! She's 10 months old today. At best guess, I'd say she's around 18-19 pounds.

The booty skooch is here to stay! Charlie is picking up speed and moving all through the house. We're trying to help strengthen those legs by helping her pull up and stand, spend some time in the walker and jumperoo. She tolerates my attempts, but would still rather be on the flooring skooching around on her own. She'll get there at her own pace, I guess.

Our verbal little girl is starting to show more of her personality. While she hasn't added any new words to her list, she isn't afraid to verbalize when she's annoyed, upset, mad, happy or whatever the mood is. When she starts talking, we're in serious trouble. I think the apple may not fall too far from the tree on that one.

Naptime has gotten more consistent and Charlie has showed her visible preference at being a tummy sleeper - she won't sleep any other way. And honestly, I don't even try. She's napping twice daily (most days) for about a hour, hour and a half at a time. She's flexible though. If we're on the go, she will go with the flow. Until bedtime. She still craves that nightly routine/schedule. She's getting better at sleeping through the night (most some nights) and usually only wakes up once when she does wake up. As usual, I'm hoping this continues to progress.

We've added a few more items to the list of food items over the past month: waffles, blueberries, cookies (baby ones, of course) and chicken nuggets. We're continuing to see that gravitation toward more independence and wanting to feed herself. I foresee baby food exiting her life here pretty soon.

As far as favorite toys are concerned, she loves babies and stuffed animals. She also loves musical instruments, remotes and phones. Plus, she too is in love with the animals. She loves Abby, Jack and Sam equally and they all three seem to be very tolerant of her.

This month's photo was...challenging at best. This is as good as it was going to get.

Project with Daddy

We went to Lowe's again today to price out some upcoming projects we want to tackle. While we were there, one of the associates gave Joey an extra craft they had done earlier that day in a kid's workshop. As soon as we got home, he was ready to get started. Joey used his play hammer (which actually worked, by the way) and Joe used his real hammer. In less than 5 minutes, they built this awesome picture frame! I think we may need to take a look at what the upcoming workshops at Lowe's are.

Patio weather!

Spring feels like it's officially here in Texas. It's so beautiful outside! We decided to enjoy the weather out on a patio for lunch.

Waffles!

Charlie tried waffles today for the first time. I think they were a hit!

Seriously though, do you see how serious she is about food? This is too funny!

Roughin' it

We were outside playing/hanging out with our neighbors and they busted out a tent to hang out in for a while. These kids have it rough!

Joey's First T-ball Practice

Joey will be playing T-ball this Spring. He's on the Cubs with a team full of four year olds! Tonight was their first practice. It was only 40 minutes long before it got dark, but Joey had so much fun! It's going to be a fun season. And yes, I sent him to practice with a Rangers shirt on - gotta represent!

Pizza Picnic

Daddy's away at his annual week long trip to KC for work. Today was one of my "in the office days," so we got Little Caesar's for dinner on the way home. Of course Joey has to get the largest slice in the box...and he finished it!

Play Buddies

I can't get over how well these two play. They both just love to play! And love to play together. It's so, so sweet!

Efficient Playtime

Need to keep the baby from moving around too much? Just stick her in a laundry basket with some toys. LOL

Poor boy

Poor little guy came home from the trip to Iowa sick with strep throat. He started showing symptoms on the plane ride home yesterday. A trip to the doctor this morning confirmed it.
