My company does an extraordinary job trying to get staff out and socializing together. This month's event was close to home, a Frisco Roughriders baseball game. It rained almost all day, but the afternoon/evening cleared off and it was a nice time! We had fun, the kids had a BLAST! Can't wait to do this one again!

Now that the dust has settled (sort of) from Charlie's first birthday party, here are a few shots of the completed patio. I think the guys did an amazing job! It really changes the look of the exterior and was a much needed piece for that party!!! I can see that we will spend countless hours out there!

Day 5 - Finish Work & Done!

Today wrapped up the patio project. Some finish work was completed and that's it...for now. It's party ready! We'll come back to stain, do some additional finish work, add gutters, etc. after Charlie's first birthday party. A million thanks to Robert and Pam for a weeks worth of back breaking work. A million thanks to Sean and Henry for helping out. We would've never beat the rain without your help.

Day 4 - Decking

Day 4 finished up the decking. We had a couple kids who have been itching to get outside to see what all of the fuss is about! They were inspecting.

Day 3 - Decking in the rain

 It rained, it poured, we have a soupy mess outside. Thankfully, the guys got all of the outside work completed, so today we strap on some boots and lay some decking.

Day 2 - Beat the rain!

There is a ton of rain in the forecast. The goal of the day is getting this thing in the dry! The concrete for the support beams has set and been inspected. Today, getting the roof line assembled and the shingles on. Henry and Sean came over to help Joe and Rob gain some serious traction. The ended up working past dark, but got it done! Here are some progress shots during the daylight.

Construction week begins!

Two construction projects at the exact same time, why not? Project new kitchen counter-top and project back patio began today.
