Feeding the Ducks

After seeing how much Joey loved the ducks over this past weekend, I had to take him back to feed the ducks! After I got off work, I grab some bread, scooped Joey up and headed back to the lake. It was a HUGE success!

Heading to the Park

We thought it was a little warmer out today than it was. We didn't discover the chill in the air until we actually got to the park. The closer we got to the lake, the windier it got. Oh well. A quick walk around and we were back in the car. We quickly discovered Joey's new interest in the ducks though.

Spring is in the Air!

70* in January = stopping at the park on the way home! Guess we weren't the only ones. Joey ran into a friend!

23 weeks

23 weeks and definitely growing! Baby Charlie is an active little thing. She's kicking and chopping away in there like crazy, which is always a fantastic feeling. This pregnancy is definitely trucking right along. I'm feeling pretty good. Heartburn has started to kick in and I've had trouble sleeping the past few weeks. That has started much sooner than I remember happening last time. Nesting started early as well, which is a good thing. In addition to the crazy cleaning/organizing I did over the holidays, I have continued getting things in order and "perfect". I personally think it's a combination of spring cleaning and nesting. Either way, I'm a huge fan of it!

Here's another belly shot! Pay no attention to the fact that it's a creepy bathroom selfie. :)

Shaving!

Believe it or not, Joey's already shaving! :) He got a shaving kit for Christmas from Aunt Mel and shaves every night in the bathtub. He's starting to perfect his technique.

More family fun!

We headed back out to East TX for New Year's! This trip we were able to visit more family (Johnnye Sue, Ashley, Cole and the boys were in town too!), Joe could do some more hunting and we could check out trade days in Canton.

Joey and Tristan had fun with stair races - just like Eli and Joey did over Christmas.

Just a little remote control car playing - in the kitchen

First outfit for Charlotte!

Look what I found in Canton!

Nursery Sneak Peak

I've spent the last week or so out and about gathering items for Charlotte's nursery. So far, I've been really lucky and haven't had trouble finding things that fit into our theme. We've picked up items at Home Goods, antique stores in Mineola and at trade days out in Canton.

Take a look at what we've got so far.

Baskets galore - for the changing table and closet

Pillows with nursery colors for the rocking chair (coral & aqua)

Ceramic animal galore!

antique mirror, frame, clock for the dresser and accent pillow

Just a couple of art pieces. There will be many more to come!
We're getting there! I can't wait to see what the room will look like when everything is pulled together.
