Happy Halloween

Although Joey is too young to trick or treat, he's not too young to dress up for Halloween!

Joey's First Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We took Joey on his first trip to the pumpkin patch today. It was a little windy and chilly, so his eyes are closed in most of the shots, but it was a successful trip nonetheless. The wind definitely made is crazy hair that much crazier. Enjoy a few photos from the day!

Joey: 1 Month

Our little man is one month old already. Boy how the time is flying by!

At one month Joey enjoys baths, tummy time, snuggling and his swing. He sleeps when in the car and the stroller. He eats consistently about every 3 hours now and sleeps better some nights than others. We are working on fine tuning his schedule. He weighs 9 pounds and is 21 1/2 inches long.

Pictures from last weekend

I mentioned in my previous post that I didn't get very many pictures from last weekend. Pam and Rob to the rescue! Rob sent over a couple of photos and I thought I'd share them with everyone. Enjoy!

First bottle

Baby Joey got a visit this weekend from Joe's parents. We love visitors especially grandparents. I took a couple of pictures, but realized most of them were taken with Rob & Pam's camera. DARN IT! I don't have a single shot of grandpa with Joey and only one with Grandma. Boy did I drop the ball on that one.

We had a milestone this weekend. Joey had his first experience with a bottle. He did wonderfully!

Little man loves to eat. Check out his crazy hair!

Grandma got to feed him too

On a side note, I snapped a picture of him in his super cute, super warm pj's the other day. I posted it to Facebook, but had to share here as well. This was the first chilly night of the season. It looks as though he'll have plenty of opportunities to wear cozy clothes in the coming week or so.

Little Man is 3 Weeks Old!

Time is flying! Baby Joey is 3 weeks old already - as of Monday. I snuck some shots of him during tummy time. A took the pictures Monday, but didn't have a chance to post them until now.

Is my hair changing color?

We've noticed a little someone's hair may be changing color. Take a look below and let us know your thoughts.

Bath Time!

In celebration of Joey's umbilical cord falling off, we have bath time! No more sponge baths...he's graduated to a real bath.

Ah, there's the thumb. Did you notice, daddy gave him a mohawk. =)

So calm and content

And he's all tuckered out.

2 weeks old!

Baby Joey is 2 weeks old today! We headed in for an appointment with the pediatrician. He is weighing in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces and is now 20 inches long. He is a healthy little man. His umbilical cord fell off last night so no more sponge baths! Not sure who is more excited Joe and I or Baby Joey. None of us were a fan of them at all. We are super excited for his first real bath.

We also did a little visiting today. Joey had his first trip into Mimi's to visit daddy. He got lots of oo's and ah's from Joe's co-workers. We will have to make another trip back soon to see some of the people that weren't there today. After that, we swung down to BenefitMall for a quick trip and Joey got to see the ladies again. Always a good time. Super busy day, and thank goodness the little man likes car rides.

More Family Visits

I want to start out by saying today was Joey's due date, the date we counted down toward and looked forward to for so many months. To think, our baby boy will be two weeks old tomorrow. October 9 was so special to me for so long, but September 26 is the best day ever!

For the past 10 days, we have had a busy house. My mom has been in town since then, Joe's mom came by for a couple of days, then my dad and grandma came to town. Lots of visitors for the little man! Today is the first day of just mommy and Joey since he was born. So far, so good, and I love every second of it!

Here are a few photos of this weekend's visit.

A Few Words from the Proud New Father

I don't know if I have ever been so tired and so emotional in my entire life, but when I was first able to see my son it made it all worth while and then some. We have really settled into being new parents, even though it's only been a week.

The first week was definitely a learning experince for the both of us and we still have alot to learn about being parents. At least we have started to get a little more sleep. I just didn't realize such a small person could dirty so many diapers.

Joey is as cute as a baby can be, and I am not being biased, he's just that damn cute. I have to go back to work tomorrow and its going to be alot harder than I thought.

We are both looking forward to seeing this little man grow up and start to crawl, walk and talk. Until the next update, I will being teaching my son to love the Cowboys, University of Arkanasas, and maybe the University of Iowa (maybe).

2 Grandmas = 2x Fun

Baby Joey was lucky enough to spend the last couple of days with both of his grandmas. My mom is in town for 10 days and Joe's mom came in for a couple of days to see the little guy. Both grandmas equals double the love.

Plus, little Joey got a little time on his play mat this afternoon. He was so busy listening to the music and looking around that he fell fast asleep. I couldn't resist this cute shot.

1 week old

Our sweet baby boy is one week old today. Wow, that went fast! He is one happy baby - doesn't cry much and likes to look around and take everything in. We have developed a bit of a schedule and he seems to be taking to it pretty well. Feedings are consistently every three hours and he's napping every morning in his crib. We can't believe how much his looks have changed in the past week! All in all, a great first week. We couldn't be happier and love the little guy more every day.
